The Department of Commerce is responsible for the management of economic development and environmental protection for the Territory of American Samoa. Our department is comprised of six divisions, each with specific missions and goals that contribute to the overall mandate of the department. The Department of Commerce is continually working on ways to improve our service not only for our local people on island but also to national and international communities abroad. Our website is informative in nature as well as a "coming of age" in the latest technology by providing information on the Internet. This website tells you who, and what we are, and how we can serve various communities. Our website also offers an opportunity to log onto tourist information, access local permitting or business requirements, obtain statistical data and the whole gamete of projects DOC operates.
