Mission Statement
To stimulate, and diversify American Samoa's economy by facilitating business development and financing, providing technical assistance and promoting commerce and industry, administration and enforcement of business licensing in the Territory.
Objectives and Tasks
To process and enforce business license applications in accordance with laws and regulations in the Territory.
Conduct business inspections to ensure compliance of all applicants with the law.
Issue Notice of Violation to any business not complied with business laws in the Territory.
Refer violators of business regulations/laws to Attorney General's Office for legal action.
Provide testimony and affidavit in support of complaint for preliminary and permanent injunction on behalf of ASG.
Overall Goal
Promote and advance objectives pertinent to the development of small businesses by providing access to venture capital, technical assistance in every business through regulations, and advance business-friendly policies.
